The Game

A Whole Realm to Conquer

An old-school fantasy MMORPG: classes with talents, quests, a group dungeon, world bosses, player trading and open war on the frontier.

Ten Classes with Talents

Five per faction, each with ten abilities learned as you level up, a racial and three trees of seven talents.

95 Quests with a Quest Log

Follow the golden “!” in every city, from the first gnoll to the level 60 ancient wyrm, and earn experience, gold and gear for your class.

Group Dungeon

The Dusk Fortress: five players, a separate instance for each group, eleven chambers on three levels, three bosses with their own mechanics, and need-or-greed loot. And out in the open, Windrock Castle: three floors and a crypt you explore with no loading screen.

World Bosses

Six bosses for groups from both sides: the Magma Giant and the Scaleborn on the frontier, the Colossus of the Gales (level 35), Morvhal on the Frozen Lake (48), Kaldrath on his throne (60) and Vorathar, the Dusk: an eighteen-meter dragon in his caldera.

PvP on the Frontier

Turn on faction combat and earn honor in the disputed territory.

Player Economy

A bank, face-to-face trading, mail with gold and items, and an auction house shared by both factions.

  • Social play. General and trade chat, whispers, five-player groups that share experience, guilds and a friends list.
  • Loot and gear. Sixteen slots, armor for each class, weapons with their own speed, durability and repairs, and merchants in every city.
  • Real weapons. One per class: the warrior's sword, the tank's greatsword, the rogue's dagger, the healer's crozier and the caster's staff. Each type has eight models, depending on the weapon's quality and level, and you see each one in your hand exactly as it is.
  • Travel and atmosphere. Day and night (a day in Valdoria lasts 48 minutes; night falls at 10 p.m.), speech bubbles above whoever is talking, a minimap, wolf form to roam the realm from level 10, sound and music in every zone, and rare and epic weapons that glow in your hand.
  • AUTO mode. Turn on the AUTO button and the last attack you used will repeat on its own as soon as it's ready again, as long as your target is still standing.

The World of Valdoria

A 1,400 by 800 meter world of moors, forests, steppes, swamps, snowy peaks and ashlands, with its mountain ranges, its rivers, six multi-chamber caves, a castle and more than eighty places to find along the way: camps, ruins, towers, graveyards, farms, docks and temples. The two capitals, about 916 meters apart as the crow flies, are just the start of the journey.

Six More Races for Your Account

Six extra races, three per faction. With them you create new characters from level 1, with the same classes and each race's own racials.

No Purchase Needed

Races You Earn by Playing

Not for sale. Your account earns each one, forever, when any of your characters of that faction (of any race, paid ones included) reaches the required level.

The paid races are coming soon to Steam as downloadable content (DLC). You can try them for free in the Training Grounds. Your current characters stay exactly the same.

The Latest in Valdoria

Version 0.35.0New

Valdoria, in Spanish and English

The game now speaks two languages. Switch between them with the Language button in the main menu or the Esc window; it starts in your Steam or computer language.

  • Two languages. Menus, windows, quests, items, abilities and messages, in Spanish or English. The Spanish text gets all its accents too.
  • Everyone in their own. What happens in the world reaches each player in their own language, even when you play together.
  • New names. Some places, creatures, abilities and items have new names: Moonveil, the Gloommire, the Scaleborn, Clan Fury, Elven Agility…
  • Chat commands in English. /who, /whisper, /party, /guild, /invite and the rest work alongside the Spanish ones.
  • The website, in English too. Switch languages from the menu or the page footer.
  • Controls. The wolf form (X key) now shows in the Controls window.
Version 0.34.0

Hardcore Mode

One life. In the main menu, choose between the classic Original Mode and Hardcore Mode: if you fall, your character falls for good, and whoever defeats you can keep what you were carrying.

  • Two modes that never cross. Original Mode is the game as you know it, with the characters you already have. Hardcore Mode is a separate world with its own characters, guilds, mail, auction house and leaderboard.
  • One life. In Hardcore, falling means losing the character and all their progress. Their name stays in the Hall of the Fallen. Logging out saves no one: outside an inn or a city, your body stays in the world for a few seconds, and it remains there as long as there's danger.
  • Your rival's loot. If you defeat another player in Hardcore, you have one minute to open their loot: their gear, their bag and their gold. Take whatever you want, piece by piece, or everything at once.
  • Even matchups. In both modes, two characters more than five levels apart can no longer attack each other.
  • The Training Grounds duel display, off to the side. Your health, your rival's and the timer move to a small frame next to the minimap, leaving the center of the screen for the fight.
Version 0.33.0

Training Grounds and Runestone Portals

A colosseum to test yourself in duels with any race and class, against the AI or against a friend, and nineteen portals that awaken as soon as you reach them.

  • Training Grounds. From the main menu: pick a race (paid ones included), a class, a talent tree, a level from 1 to 60 for you and for your rival, and the gear difficulty for both of you: Basic, Medium or Full Gear. Nothing that happens there affects your character.
  • Against the AI. A rival that fights like a person: it reacts with your connection's delay, turns with the mouse and doesn't know when your abilities are ready until it sees you use them.
  • Against a friend. Create a room and give your friend its four-letter code: each of you picks a character, and whoever created the room sets the levels and the difficulty.
  • Runestone portals. Nineteen runestones across the realm. Reach one and it awakens for your character; from any discovered portal you can travel to the others in five seconds. The other faction's runestones won't answer you.
  • A better-protected world. The server rejects console commands, pauses, name changes and spectator joins coming from a modified client.

Older news (in Spanish)

More decoration for towns, roads, caves and dungeons is still in the works.
